SHOUT OUT TO GRANDPA! :]] You're the best!

Well life is starting to pick up the pace here now!

This past weekend I was gone on a retreat with all the Moody freshmen :] It was alot of fun. They kept us busy though, so not exactly the ideal retreat for a college student. But I'm glad I went. It was absolutly beautiful out there. We were right on a huge river, that wound through the mountains! At the retreat I made alot more friends. I feel like I know of most of the freshman, but I'm starting to get to know more of them better.

Tomorrow my busy week starts back up. I'm so not ready. Because of the retreat I didn't have the weekend to work on my homework, and now I'm paying for it. I just have to read one more chapter and fill out some stuff for Lifetime Fitness, and then I'm all set for tomorrow. I'm just going to have to do my homework day by day this week :} But the problem is that every day in class they assign more, so I've got my work cut out for me! Yuck. My first essay is due this friday, I'm writing about compassion.

I've really bonded with my roomate Emily this past week, she's amazingggg. And we're helping eachother through stuff. She gives really good guy advice ;]

Well I need to finish up some of my homework :]
I love you all.

In Washington

my homies, and my home
hi from spokane!
today i finished up orientation :] it's exciting to start meeting a bunch of people! all the profs seem really great...but of course it's still going to be college [hard work].
tonight we just came up with a meal plan, and cleaning schedule...which was needed. so hopefully things with our 8 girl home will start runing smoother from now on.
all the girls in my house seem awesome. very different, and strong personalities, but so far so good :-P
also today mom went home. which is good news for my family, but it was sad for me. i am now officially on my own.
well i'm still running on michigan time which in washington looks pretty good: sleepy at nine, awake at 6am. haha maybe i should try and stay on the schedule.

email if you want my address, because i'd love to get some mail!

thanks everyone :}

WOW...only 5 days until i move to spokane, washington. I know i'll have a great experience. I'm going to make amazing friends, and i'll be learning alot about my amazing God. I'm having a very hard time right now with one foot in michigan and the other in washington. I am dreading saying goodbye to my family, so if you could all pray for strength in that area i'd really appreciate it. I'm sure it will get easier though when i get there.

The plan: I fly out sunday august 16th at 1pm. My mom is going to stay with me until saturday moring to help me move in, and buy stuff for the room. Since i'm flying i can't bring much of anything, so anything big i'm buying there.

It's been such a great summer, so its sad that its over, but i will keep everyone posted on my new adventures at Moody :]

thanks for your prayers <3

first blog

hey everyone :]

i decided to start a blog since so much is going to start changing in my life, and for those of you who want to keep up with it :]

since graduation on may 15th, i've been busy working 40 hours (please gasp!) a week. which has got me completely whipped. my open house is also this saturday so there is lots to do to get ready for it! good news though, i finally found something to wear to it ;]

as most of you know, i plan on going to moody bible in the fall. i was accepted into their 1+3 program (that is one year in spokane washington, and three years in chicago). i just recently found a place to live there since they don't have dorms there. the house is just one block away from campus which is a real blessing since i'm not bringing a car. 8 girls will be living in the house, so that will be exciting :] and i'll be sharing an upstairs room with a girl named emily, which i only just found out today.
